Latest Updates from Our Project:

Overwhelming Success!!
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 30, 2020 at 08:19:44 AM

WOW!!

I cannot even begin to express my thanks. This project surpassed our expectations... by far. This truly means the world to me. For those who do not know, I grew up playing solo modules. It is pretty surreal that now I have the opportunity to bring forth this story to over 1,300 people!

Also, we more than doubled the previous Pacesetter backer and "funds raised" records!!

Where do we go from here?

Fantastic question! Now it is game time. We will work to finish out the art and maps, finish converting the module, and spring into playtesting! We will likely have an open playtest for the book, subclasses, and races. More information will come on that later!

The next thing you all can expect from this project is the Backerkit survey. That is where you will pay shipping and add add-ons, primarily.

Thank you all again. Words cannot express my gratitude. You truly have changed my life. Being 22-years-old and graduating college next fall, I am truly blessed that I have this outlet to share my stories. You are all helping me get these stories to the world. For that, thank you again, and see ya real soon :)

New Stretch Goals!!
over 3 years ago – Fri, Sep 25, 2020 at 02:11:59 PM

Hey, friends!

I now have some new stretch goals for us to pursue! Keeping within the nature of giving you more options of adventure, I have added a two new races! The other goal is an add-on lore book that you may add during Backerkit. All the information is in each section I will repost here! These have been added to the "Strech Goal" section in the project Campaign if you want to check back there at any time! The working art has already been created, so you can get a feel for what these new races bring to the table :)

$22,000 - New Dwarf Playable Subrace - (Locked!)

Once we have raised $22,000, we will publish the Bijou Dwarf!

This new race of dwarves are close cousins to the mountain dwarves. Once a sturdy, formidable people have now turned to the more elegant side of life. They found a wealth of gems and other minerals in their mines, and now they prefer to focus on the finer side of life.

The Bijou (bee-zho) are native Dun Bhuldar within Farrador. This makes them an amazing and seamless subrace to bring your adventure to life! They are naturally charismatic and openly welcome the presence of magic within their settlements. They are constantly looking to grow their wealth; however, they still do take care of others as they are constant donors to the less fortunate living within Lakeshire or other villages living in squalor. However, there are few that believe they should join higher societies of humans and elves in other lands.

$24,000 - New Finfolk Playable Race - (Locked!)

Once we have raised $22,000, we will publish the Finfolk!

The finfolk are a race of humanoid fish-like people that are natives to Starland Bay area in southern Farrador. Their communities are very welcoming and wise. The finfolk that take in anyone that is in need. Originally, they were coastal settlers; however, some hungered for what the rest of the world had to offer, so they set out to explore other settlements. Since then, they have been great neighbors and allies to those residing within Farrador.

The finfolk are natural hunters and/or healers. Since their settlements started out in recluse from conventional society, they have had to rely on themselves for survival. They are dexterous and wise, which many account to be the pinnacle of their survival. Being naturally amphibious creatures, they also excel in water type scenarios as well.

$26,000 - Farrador: A History - (Locked!)

Once we have raised $26,000, the Farrador: A History add-on book will be available!

This book will encompass all the known history of Farrador and how this land came to be. It will include extra information on each settlement as well as the history of how it has come to the modern point in time where you are adventuring.

It will also include the new classes, subclasses, races, subraces, magic items, and spells that you can encounter during your adventures. This way if you would like to take these new ideas to a different campaign, you can do so without carrying around your copy of Into the Unknown.

This book will be a $10 physical add-on and a $5 PDF add-on through Backerkit post-campaign. It is estimated to be a 28 page, full color digest book.

The goals are high, but I know we can achieve them! This project has continuously blown my mind with the support it has garnered. While I was typing this up, we hit $20,000 raised with 672 backers! This blows any Pacesetter record out of the water. Thank you all so much for everything!

That is all from me for now! I will keep updating once we have new stuff to show you :)

All the best,

Ben Barsh

24 Hour Push!
over 3 years ago – Mon, Sep 21, 2020 at 10:01:57 AM

Hello, friends!

We are nearly on the last 24 hours of the project! With that being said, I want to first say thank you so much for the support on this project. Last night we hit the 1,000 backer mark! This is over double what our previous record was! It means so much to us knowing there are over 1,000 gamers ready to adventure Into the Unknown!

We aren't stopping here! We would like as many people as possible to know about this project! If you feel inclined to do so, share the project with your friends and fellow gamers! This is a great way for someone to get into TTRPGs as it does not require a group!
