Friends,
The PDFs are finally out!! Woo!! If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to message us or leave a comment. I’ll make sure to get any problems taken care of with haste!
Per usual, if there are any massive mistakes we have made, do not worry. We can simply correct them and resend the PDFs. We always wait a few days to send the files to the printers to cut down on permanent issues. Again, feel free to message us if you have any questions/concerns.
Our printer is in the US, so there will not be a very long turn around time getting the books to Pacesetter HQ! Bill (our fearless CEO) and my friends (paid with home cooked Italian food and D&D sessions) are on standby to rock out distribution when the books arrive! I cannot wait to get these in your hands!
That is all for now! Again, please do not hesitate to reach out! We are here for you! Until next time, stay well and keep adventuring!
All the best,
Ben Barsh
Layout Update!

– Tue, Jul 06, 2021 at 01:20:24 AM
Hello, friends!
I hope everyone is well! We are very well as we work our way into the back half of layout!
The 5e version is 95% complete, the S&W version is 50% complete, and the B/X version is up next. Since the 5e version came first, the S&W and B/X versions that follow go much faster. From there, Farrador: A History and the Map Booklet go very quick as well. They are far less taxing. The hardcover version will take no time at all.
Thank you everyone for the patience. We are taking our time to make sure it comes out right. Below is an example from layout (ignore the blue marks - those get deleted). This is showing you how the map crops fit into the book to help tell the story in a more "solo" way!
I will update when we are near PDF fulfillment. From here, it should not be long. We will likely send it all out at once instead of in waves to ensure quality across all versions.
Have a wonderful week, and I will see you soon with a behind-the-scenes YouTube video!
All the best,
Ben Barsh
Off to Layout!

Friends... it is time!
The final countdown is on! The final countdown to the unknown!
Dramatics aside, we are in the final stretch of production. From here, we work with our fabulous layout designer to make sure all points connect and the book looks "pretty" :)
We will go through this process very carefully. In a solo book, there are many, many moving parts. Especially since we decided to crop the maps to reveal only what your character would see as they move through encounter areas. This is our take on "fog of war" (examples below).
I want to thank you all again for the endless support. This truly is a dream come true. I cannot wait to share Farrador and the world of Dagmore with you all. I really hope you enjoy the storytelling and mechanics of this solo book because the sequel is on the way next year ;)

Layout Status & Game Convention!

Hey, friends!
Just popping in to let you know we will be beginning layout Thursday! It may be slightly slower than normal as we want to make sure all the moving pieces (maps, room crops, room references, art, etc) find their way to the right spots. I am really certain you will like the structure of the book. We really went for ease of play over a difficult "crunch-like" setup, even though it took some more time. Thank you all for the patience. This Kickstarter community on this project rocks!
Also, a few members of Team Pacesetter will be at North Texas RPG Con in Dallas, TX this week! We will have a booth setup, so make sure to come say hello if you are attending! Our layout artist will not be at the con, so that will not delay the project :)
I may make a video next week showing you all how we compile all the project assets for layout. It is certainly not the most interesting topic for some, but it does provide a really cool look at "Pacesetter: Behind the Scenes". Let me know if you would like that!
That is all for now. Stay awesome!
All the best,
Ben Barsh
Progress Report & Mapping Update!

Hey, friends!
Per usual, I have made a YouTube video with all the information in this update if you would rather listen/watch along at home!
If you would like to avoid spoilers, do not look at the map below!
Today I just wanted to let you know where we are at. We are still 1-3 weeks out from layout. With three different editions of the book and other side books, we are making sure all the ducks are in a row. We want this to be as polished as possible before sending out.
I also wanted to share how mapping will be done in the book. Since it is solo, it wouldn't make much sense to see the entire map right when you enter an area. This will only happen in select scenarios where either your character is in a neutral building or you are given the map in game. We came up with the idea of cropping and editing each map down to each room. Then, each room crop will be dropped under the correct area. You will read the area description, then see the room/area map crop that correlates to it. This calls for more work on our end, but I decided that it will be in benefit of the book, so why not!
That is pretty much it for now. I will continue to update as we head towards the finish line.
